No test is too tough when you prepare dedicatedly
I am Nirmalaben Patel, the Principal of Shri K. M. Patel Primary School in Idar taluka of Sabarkantha district. I have always been proud of my students who always stood successful in all spheres of academics, except the government organized NMMS exam. Although Sejalben who looked after the NMMS exam preparation, provided every information and complete guidance to all the students, we still would not get satisfactory results. It was obvious that we lacked somewhere.
In 2019, Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation appointed Payalben to our school for teaching mathematics and science to standards 6th and 7th. When she came to know that students were losing a life changing opportunity just because they couldn't pass the NMMS examination, she stood up and took the responsibility of training them. She encouraged the students to participate in the NMMS exam again. Without any delay, she relentlessly started preparing them for the exam. That year, a total of 11 students registered themselves for the NMMS exam. With the help of the foundation, Payalben conducted an entrance exam for the NMMS aspirants. Each student was then trained as per their performance level. Payalben and the students too forgot about Sundays or Diwali vacation. They took no time off and sincerely focused their time entirely on the preparation. Everyday they would come 2 hours before the school time to attend the NMMS preparation lectures.
Finally, the day came. The results were declared and all the 11 students she trained had cleared the examination. 5 of them were also listed in the merit and were eligible for the scholarship. Our happiness knew no boundaries. It was one of the most important victories in the life of these kids and our school. For this success, on behalf of the entire school family, I am heartily thankful to Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation.
